I had lived in LV for 13 years before moving to San Diego area nearly 3 years ago. I too do not trust the judicial system-especially in NV. However, prayer and faith do help. I won a monumental legal battle over grandparent rights in LV 2 years ago...In LV. Keep trying, even if you feel defeated. True justice will prevail. I am praying for you and hope you get this creep. Jamie, I'm not sure what the right words are to say to you. I am deeply touched by your struggle and I know that if there was a chance that I, or any other soul that has heard your story, could take away your pain and give you back your peace of mind, we would in a heart beat, but that isn't possible. I think too that you (and so many other victims of abuse) are left with the crushing question of "Why me?" and hard as you search you may never find a sufficient answer because there simply isn't a reason good enough. I'm sure this just adds to your frustration. I wish I could show you a magic trick that would take it all away but the fact is that it is up to you to make it go. I read somewhere that the control we have in our lives is not what happens to us but how we deal with it. Your parents are making a valient effort to seek justice for you and I pray for the best outcome but Jamie the real justice will come from your own heart when you decide it is time. It isn't your fault. It isn't anything you could have prevented and it isn't fair that it happened to be you in that chair. There's a great scene from one of my favorite movies "Where the heart is" where natalie Portman says "we've all got meanness in us but we've got goodness too, and the good is the only thing worth living for." It may be from Hollywood but it has some merit. He may have had control over your body then but please do not let him control your spirit now. You decide who has power over you and your emotions. Please take that power seriously and use it to heal what litigation can not. The pictures I saw of you show a light in your eyes that burns from deep within you, find it and hold on to it, hold onto whatever joy you can, it's in every corner. I know that words seem hypocritical especially when there's so many of them:) and I don't pretend to feel what you are feeling but we all have nasty experiences to leave behind, but please try to leave it behind, it does not have to define you. If it helps you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and what I hope will become your struggle for internal justice, then please know that. My family and I have read your story and the struggle you have endured. It is first faith and the belief that God will give you the strenth to take this all the way to get justice for Jamie and in the process for all other children who may live through something like this. As a parent, I recommend that your child is never alone with anyone who would make her uncomfortable or make her relive any terrible experiances. I would suggest that there is a camera, audio and a copy of the tape unedited the day that your child is interviewed.

God Bless your family. Unfortunatley I know all too well how the legal system lets you down. I have a son with CP and firmly believe that malpractice caused all his problems, so did our lawyers, but according to Georgia state law we did'nt have 'enough' proof. You would think even the smallest amount of proof would do when it concerns children. I have started an organization called "Austin's Gift" named after my son. We collect donations for situations just like this. Please let us know if their is anything we can do. We will pray for your family and especially for Jamie. Our children need justice. I just read this horrifying story. I do have a related incident and if I would have known this had happened maybe I would have reported Dr. Orr also. I also heard from everybody in Las Vegas that Dr. Orr was the best.WRONG!!!I went in and when i wouldn't calm down because I wasn't numb He screamed at me!!!!!!!! Not just a little scream I don't think in all my life I've ever been screamed at like that before!!! I was 22 not 6. I am so sorry that she had to go through this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is horrible. If this man is indeed a Mormon than you absolutely need go to the HIGH officials of the church. Not that they can legally do anything, but you need to go to Utah and go straight to the top. If this man is active in the church he holds some kind of priesthood, or possibly higher. Mormons believe that there church is the true restored church and they also believe in the FAMILY and that children are the most important thing on this earth. I am not saying there isn't politics in the church, of course there is, any large church has them. But this I know, if you make enough noise in the church, it will filter up to the Prophet (Prophet Gordon B. Hinkley). Legally the church probably cannot do anything, but I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will call on him. This I truly believe. There are jerks in every church, so you will probably have to keep strong, but I recommend going through Mary Ellen Smoot - Relief Societ General President, she is over all the Women in the church, which most, if not all are MOTHERS. Try to contact her and see what, if any steps can be taken by the Church, even if it is only on the moral leval. I believe you and I also believe that the Church will believe you too. Jesus once said, it is better for a man to tie a rock around his neck and throw himself into a lake, than hurt one of his little children. He knows that asking God for forgiveness is not enough, the church teaches that you must first ask for forgiveness from the person you wronged, before you can have it from God.

As your finding out our Law protects the guily adult and that children have very few rights. Children don't vote therefore they don't have the same rights as an adult. Work to change our laws. Your child should not have to be alone with a man counselor. There are tons of women out there. This judge should not be on the bench. Vote him out and encourage others to vote for judges that care about the child! Often in abuse cases the child can be video tapped. Again often the judges call. This man is powerful and has friends in high places which apprently effects this judge. Write to the president (he has email) and to all of congress (the squecky wheel gets oiled). Fight to change our laws. Also Ophra Winfrey is a good person to contact she has faught for abused children in Washington. God bless you. You and your child are very brave. Please tell her to hang in there. There are lots of nice people out there who care.

I read the whole story of Jamie and I wish I knew what to say. Its a sad world we live in. I pray for Jaime and all her trust will return. I pray also that this Jerk somehow will be punish. Your child should never had this done to her. And it makes me wonder how many children had this done to them by him.

Every mother should read this story. It is a frieghtening, but true way our society is runs. Politics will always win. I'm sorry that you have to suffer so much Jamie.
